Darin Richardson - Biography


	From Garth Brooks to David Copperfield to Tevye, for 15 years Darin Richardson has been in the spotlight. It all started at the age of 7 in a local talent contest with a few magic tricks and an appearing Guinea Pig. From there Darin started his performing career as DR Magic with a disappearing assistant and snow white doves. He started his singing and acting careers imediatly following this. Through the years Darin entertained groups both local and state ranging from 5 to 2500 audience members. By the age of 12, Darin's classmates and teachers had labeled him as "Little Garth" who just happened to be his hero.



				The stage is a second home to Darin. He has been asked to perform at county fairs, the Kansas State Fair, state conventions, various competitions, and other events around the state of Kansas. His singing and magic have allowed him to meet new people and go new places. When Darin was around 14 he started combining his love for music, his fascination with magic, and his passion for performing by creating a musical magic show. The show proved to be a success with the crowd.


	It was in high school that Darin really started working on his acting. He was involved with every musical throughout the 4 years of high school. He played lead roles in both "Guys and Dolls" and "Fiddler on the Roof" and then continued his acting into college including "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Darin also was selected for his high school's most presegious vocal ensemble, the showchoir called X-Pressos. From there he auditioned as a freshman and was selected to become a member of the K-State Singers, a collegiate showchoir, where he has been a member now for 4 years and a stage/technical/PR manager for 3 years. In the past 3 years while persuing a degree in Business Management and Leadership studies, Darin had logged in over 100 different shows.



	Though Darin's passion is geared towards country music, he also spent time being a praise and worship leader for his church. Darin's shows include just about anything including country, oldies, christian, and broadway music. God has given Darin many talents and Darin enjoys using those talents to entertain people of all ages. Darin's goal for his shows - "To give the world a break from the troubles of life, one show at a time."
